March 24th show is now online!

Happy Easter. I hope you got that chocolate bunny you were hoping for. I loved the little baskets w/ that cellophane “grass” when I was a kid. I loved the promise of speckled candy eggs, jelly beans (the real old fashioned kind that had a much fresher sweetness than the modern sort), the eggs we'd colored ourselves the night before, and our brand new white ankle socks. We'd open a pack before dawn, when it was still dark out, getting ready for sunrise services. It hurt, getting up out of a warm bed that early, but it did make the multi-colored sugary day to come that much sweeter. Ankle socks, patent leather mary janes, navy coats with peter pan collars, little hats that gripped our heads, white gloves, and pretty dresses in pastel colors (mine, usually blue) with poofy petticoats underneath so the skirts stuck straight out at 45 degree angles.

SOoooo, check the Coffeetime Archive for the mp3's of the show. And, also, for those who dig this sort of thing, I've added an Atom link (It's at the bottom of the righthand sidebar). I can use it w/ the built in RSS subscribing in Firefox for the Mac. Let me know what you think, if you use it, that is.

One more fixed link!

Yikes, I guess I've been out o' it. I have now fixed the link to the hi-bandwidth version of last week's show. Guess no one really cared, boo hoo. Although, Eric in Arlington (a sharp-eyed part of metro Boston, I must say!) was the one who alerted me to it.

Also noticing, as I type this, that Firefox on OS X is very hinky for wwriting posts. EEEEEEks -- this is typing mayhem!

I love me some Firefox, but I guess I'll have to Safari thhesee babeeeez from hereon in.

whoo heeee, does htis post look like garbaaaaaage. (but you get the gist o' it, riiight????)

Whee! Titles to the posts

Um, now my posts have titles. Not sure how this will affect things, but why not?

Also, I'm now hating these colors…makeover must happen soon.
Ooopsies: the link to the archive in the previous post was wrong (the code, that is). I have fixed it. It now takes you to coffeetimearchive.org (ORG, Angelynn!), which, maybe, perhaps, possibly, is where you wanna go?

Thx to eagle eye Eric for alerting me to the bum link!

I changed the look of the blog again. Ha ha. Must be spring!

What this blog really needs are pictures. I'll get working on that.

The March 10 show with Bob as guest deejay is now available to stream at the Coffeetime Archive.

Monday, March 14, 2005

The playlist for Bob’s guest turn on Coffeetime this year can be found in PDF form here.

I’m having some troubles uploading the mp3’s to the archive, but I’ll keep trying and let you know when we have lift off.

Thanks once more to Bob for his generous support of Coffetime and WMBR, and for his sweet spins when he sits behind the controls.

Friday, March 11, 2005

Big thanks to Bob Biletch who was the guest deejay on Coffeetime yesterday. Bob is a friend as well as a supporter of Coffeetime and WMBR; he’s contributed generously to our fundraiser for 6 years now. He’s always my top pledger. But he’s also a great guy and we always have a good time when he stops by. And I know Coffeetime listeners enjoy the mix he brings to the show.

I’ll post his playlist sometime this weekend, as well as put up the mp3’s on the Coffeetime Archive.

Sunday, March 06, 2005

This week’s show is now up on the Coffeetime Archive.

Do you like the new look? A gal likes to try on new clothes now and then!

It’s okay, but I’ll probably fiddle with the code a bit over the next few weeks.
